About
Obadiah is the smallest book in the Old Testament, with 21 verses. Obadiah is one of the Minor Prophets, and his book is standing traditionally between the books of Amos & Jonah in the Old Testament.
The vision that was seen, and narrated by prophet Obadiah, showed the picture of the hatred of Esau towards his brother Jacob – the children of the Israelites vividly. Edom’s abhorrence towards his brother called a spade a spade and showed how callous he was. Everything was clear; his unfeeling approach, uncaring behavior, and insensitive attitude that he performed against Israel hid nothing.
God spoke through His prophet Obadiah to many nations. Can we learn anything about Islam? Well! There’s nothing available that speaks directly about the world of Islam, but there are several striking parallels available that can help us to learn about Islam as we go through this tiny book of the Old Testament.
Digging deeper into Obadiah’s Oracle and the prophecies he delivered can be contemplated keeping in view the context of the present era and the world of Islam!!
Wow…highly recommend this book for any church’s Bible study! This is book is easy to read yet has profound truths. Dr. Jamil Sadiq demonstrates a deep understanding of the Bible and story of Jonah. And equips churches how to share with people of Islamic faith.
Loved how author walked through the book of Obadiah to reveal God's heart and hope for the nations. It is also a convicting invitation and call to be an active participant in sharing the hope found in Christ.
Ps. Josh Nash
Jamil Sadiq brings the Old Testament prophetic writings of Obediah to life and teaches relevant applications for the modern age of which we live in today. Boldly and passionately sharing Christ to the linage of Ishmael.
